I am finally blogging our Baltimore Engagement Session. I can hardly believe that this time last year we were engaged! The entire year was a whirlwind between wedding planning and having a busy wedding season of my own. I must say that I enjoyed every second of it. Behind the camera I am cool and calm but when it came to planning our own engagement session I had no idea where to go.
We are such a lucky couple because not only is Lauren Swann an amazing photographer but she is also a dear friend. When I called reached out to her in a panic because we hadn’t picked our session location it went something like this:
Me: “Lauren I have no idea where we are going for our session!”
Lauren: “Don’t worry!”
I’m pretty sure I drove her absolutely insane and what she really wanted to say was
I knew all about choosing engagement session locations because I teach all of my couples about this!
We finally decided to start our shoot where we had one of our first dates- The American Visionary Art Museum. Not only is this a great venue for a Baltimore Wedding, this was the perfect location for our Baltimore Engagement. It had sentimental value for us and represented something we are both so passionate about: The Arts. From there we walked down to the water together. It had been raining all day and the weather called for more. Can you tell in our images? I sure can’t! Anyone who knows Scott knows he doesn’t smile very often. I have to thank Lauren for bringing out the best in both of us. She made our session so fun and made us both feel at ease! Check out a few favorites from our engagement session below!
