This DC engagement was a dream! We started the morning off at the Botanical Gardens and walked over to the National Portrait Gallery. We were not sure what to expect with the weather! If you live in Maryland then you know the struggle: one day it is 80 and sunny the next it could be 30 an snowing! The weather was warm and we planned enough time to stroll through the gallery together at the end. We planned a morning session to avoid crazy afternoon traffic but forgot about the schools and tourists that visit during the day. You wouldn’t know from the images that we were surrounded by families and school children. These two were modeling pros!
Their outfits are such a great example on what to wear to your session! I love how they stayed true to their personal styles while weaving in elegant details. Erin’s dresses just screams spring and popped against the green gardens while Daniel’s jacket dressed up his jeans perfectly!
I am so excited to photograph their Annapolis wedding this fall! I always tell my clients that the engagement session is like a first date. We are taking the time to get to know each other and it is their chance to practice being in front of the camera before their big day. Erin and Daniel are kind, funny and downright lovable. We laughed and shared stories together. On their wedding day I won’t just be there as their photographer- I’ll be there as a friend.
